Qualifications: What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is an early-career developer who enjoys both programming and understanding how businesses operate.
We are looking for someone who is curious about what happens beyond the code—someone who wants to understand why a system is being built, how information moves through the organization, and how technology can make a business operate better.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Approximately 2–4 years of professional software development experience preferred.
Experience with one or more modern programming or scripting languages.
Understanding of databases, SQL, APIs, web services, and application integration concepts.
Familiarity with web application development.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability and desire to learn new technologies quickly.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Interest in business processes, ecommerce, ERP systems, and automation.
Experience with PHP, JavaScript, SQL, Magento/Adobe Commerce, NetSuite, Celigo, REST APIs, Git, or cloud technologies is beneficial but not required.

Magento / Adobe Commerce

Career Development
This position is designed as a growth role.
Initially, the primary focus will be hands-on development, troubleshooting, integrations, and learning The Image Group’s business systems. As experience grows, the individual will be given increasing responsibility for designing solutions, working directly with business stakeholders, and owning applications and integrations.
A successful individual should progress from Developer Senior Developer / Solutions Developer Solutions Architect, developing the technical and business knowledge necessary to eventually take ownership of major ecommerce and business-systems initiatives.
The goal is not simply to develop a strong programmer, but to develop a technology professional who understands both software and the business the software supports. Apply for this position →
