About the Role
Join a forward deployed engineering team building AI-powered software for financial institutions. You will work directly with customer teams to understand lending workflows, then turn what you learn into scalable product capabilities that improve how those teams operate.
What You'll Do
Work on-site with customer teams, including lending and operations staff, to understand their workflows, bottlenecks, and needs.
Build and deploy software that automates manual processes and extends the platform to address real customer use cases.
Develop AI-powered systems and iterate on them using feedback from users in production.
Own work end to end, from defining the problem and designing the solution through deployment and improvement.
Share customer insights with product and engineering colleagues to inform platform direction and future deployments.
Travel to customer sites approximately three to four days per month, often on the East Coast or in the Midwest.
What We're Looking For
Experience ranges from early-career builders with demonstrated software delivery skills to engineers with approximately three to five or more years of relevant experience.
Experience building and shipping new products, ideally in an early-stage or venture-backed startup environment.
Strong full-stack skills with TypeScript, React, and Next.js, plus experience with Python, PostgreSQL, LangChain, and the Vercel AI SDK or the ability to learn them quickly.
Experience building and deploying machine-learning models in production.
Ability to design scalable systems from customer problems and collaborate directly with users to discover and address their needs.
A computer science degree is expected for candidates with zero to three years of experience; senior candidates may demonstrate equivalent technical depth through projects and work experience.
