About the Role
Join a small engineering team building an AI platform for commercial real estate. Working closely with the CTO, you will develop portfolio research and agentic workflow systems that help institutional owners analyze complex data and automate operational work.
What You'll Do
Build and own a portfolio research and chat interface for querying portfolio data, generating work products, and running multi-step analysis.
Design and ship reliable agentic workflows, including structured extraction, tool calling, and multi-step AI pipelines.
Develop the systems that support production-grade LLM features, including evaluations, observability, context construction, structured outputs, failure handling, and monitoring.
Work with clients and domain experts to identify automation opportunities and turn ideas into production features end to end.
Collaborate with the CTO and grow into independent ownership of a platform area.
What We're Looking For
One to three years of experience as a software engineer, founding engineer, or founding AI engineer.
Strong backend engineering skills in Python, with experience building production software for high-stakes B2B environments.
Experience building LLM agents, tool-calling systems, multi-step AI workflows, and reliable architectures that account for nondeterminism and context management.
Understanding of retrieval-augmented generation and experience with B2B AI products or large-scale document processing.
Experience modeling complex hierarchical data in relational databases and independently owning platform features from idea to launch.
Familiarity with TypeScript, React, and AWS, plus a four-year degree.
