About the Role
Join an early engineering team at a seed-stage AI data company, building reinforcement learning environments from real-world voice and enterprise data. You will also develop production AI agents for enterprise customers and help shape technical direction as the team grows.
What You'll Do
Build high-quality RL environments using proprietary voice and enterprise datasets.
Build and deploy AI agents for enterprise customers.
Partner with company leadership on technical direction and the product roadmap.
Help lead the engineering function as the team grows.
Ship quickly while maintaining a high standard of quality.
What We're Looking For
Three to seven years of engineering experience and strong reinforcement learning fundamentals.
Hands-on experience building RL environments in an RL or human data setting.
Experience building and deploying AI agents in production.
Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or comparable tools in production work.
Full-stack experience with TypeScript and AWS is a plus.
Experience with iOS, Swift, or React Native, or a startup background with a strong shipping cadence, is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary is $125,000 to $200,000 annually. OTE (on-target earnings, base plus variable) is $225,000 to $400,000, with variable compensation tied to company profits. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
On-site in San Francisco, California. This role is fully in person with a 5.5-day workweek and Sundays off. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco.
