About the Role
Join a small, fast-moving team building AI-powered contract intelligence software for enterprise legal teams. As an early engineering leader, you will shape the product and technical direction while developing production software across the stack.
What You'll Do
Architect, build, and own the user-facing application and its backend systems.
Develop AI applications and agents that support contract analysis workflows.
Partner with engineering, product, and design colleagues to deliver product improvements.
Set technical direction, promote sound engineering practices, and drive engineering roadmaps.
Define and implement measures of team and product success.
Own software development end to end, from technical planning through deployment and monitoring.
What We're Looking For
At least 8 years of professional experience building AI products and production software systems.
Experience at a SaaS startup and ownership of end-to-end development in a small team.
Strong proficiency in Python, SQL or Postgres, and multiple programming languages.
Hands-on experience with JavaScript, React, or modern frontend frameworks.
Experience building AI applications or agents with LangChain and LangGraph, and working with OpenAI or Anthropic models.
Knowledge of databases, Git, CI/CD, and LLM monitoring.
Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
A computer science degree and experience solving challenging problems in ambiguous environments.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $175,000 to $300,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
On-site in New York, NY, five days per week.
