Job Responsibilities
- Lead high-level solution design and define migration paths that achieve real business outcomes
- Identify the application software, services, and middleware needed to meet both functional business requirements and non-functional technical requirements like security, performance, and recoverability
- Design, develop, and maintain custom web applications, mobile applications, and web services
- Establish and periodically update development principles and standards to ensure consistency across projects
- Maintain standard tools for development, data integration, and source control
- Collaborate with business unit generalists and staff to understand business strategies and translate them into technical solutions
- Work closely with engineering staff and partners when solutions involve operational technologies such as scales and PLCs
- Provide day-to-day direction and manage workload for contract and junior developers as needed on specific projects
What You Bring
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems required
Experience: 10 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills:
- Strong proficiency in the .NET framework and SQL Server, with a deep understanding of how it works — not just queries
- Experience deploying and managing applications in Microsoft Azure and Azure DevOps
- Strong JavaScript, HTML, and Angular skills
- Design and development of web services and web applications
- Cloud infrastructure experience, preferably Microsoft Azure
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics AX and CRM or similar enterprise applications
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Attitude: A strong communicator who can build business understanding of technology, works well across teams, and leads with both technical depth and people skills.
Certifications: Microsoft Dynamics and .NET certifications are preferred but not required.
