Hone builds AI that owns outcomes, not tasks: agentic systems that work towards goals over weeks and months, deploy themselves, and improve over time.
About Hone
Models keep getting smarter, but outside of coding most organizations can't absorb that intelligence, and the gap between model capability and the value derived from it keeps widening. The reasons are many, from human incentives to org design, but at the core we think it's a technology problem. Hone builds engines: AI systems that you hand a goal, like "keep the recruiting pipeline healthy." An engine builds itself, maintains its own agents and code, pulls in people when it needs judgment, and learns from every correction. Leading AI companies and global enterprises already run engines across funnel optimization, procurement, deal sourcing, asset management, financial risk, and product and customer delivery. We measure ourselves by the real-world economic impact our engines create, not benchmark scores.
In October 2026, we announced a $60M seed round from Benchmark and Index Ventures.
A little more about Hone
Half our team are former founders: They’ve built companies, shipped products, and chosen Hone as the place to build next
Our customers are building with AI themselves: Cognition, Modal and Lucanet already use Hone, with customer perspectives featured on our website
Our founders have built from research to scale: They researched agents at Stanford, built the core of Devin at Cognition, led enterprise engineering at Mercor, and founded companies that reached over one million users
Our values shape how we work: Own the Outcome, Set the Standard, Win with Class, and Commit to the Racing Line. Read more on our careers page

The Role
Hone builds engines that run business functions, and our own go-to-market should work the same way. You'll own the systems that turn market signals, product engagement and customer conversations into pipeline and revenue: account discovery, research, outreach, inbound qualification, routing and expansion. You'll build the first version, run it against real targets, and turn what works into persistent engines. This means owning both the code and the commercial result, and using what you learn to improve the product itself.
What You'll Work On
Account and buyer intelligence: combine company data, buying signals and customer patterns to identify who we should reach, why Hone is relevant, and when to act
Outbound engines that research accounts, find the right people, generate relevant outreach, and coordinate follow-ups across email and other channels
Inbound qualification and routing: connect forms, email, CRM and calendars so interested buyers reach the right conversation quickly, with the context already assembled
Data infrastructure across the GTM stack: identity resolution, enrichment, deduplication, account ownership, activity tracking and reliable integrations
Experimentation and measurement: test audiences, signals, messages and channels, and trace results from first touch through qualified pipeline and revenue
Feedback loops that turn replies, sales calls and deal outcomes into better targeting and engine behavior, working with Product and Engineering to turn useful internal builds into reusable capabilities
Requirements
2+ years in GTM engineering, growth engineering, technical RevOps or software engineering, or equivalent depth from your own projects
Time at a fast-growing startup
You've built GTM systems from scratch and operated them against real pipeline or revenue targets
Strong technical fundamentals: Python or TypeScript, SQL, APIs, webhooks and data pipelines. You can build and debug integrations across unfamiliar systems, with retries, monitoring and data quality checks that keep them reliable
You can move between CRM configuration, automation tools and custom code, and know when each is the right choice
Strong commercial judgment: you can define a useful buying signal, distinguish activity from qualified pipeline, and diagnose where a funnel is breaking
You use coding agents every day and still understand every line you ship
You build and experiment for fun because you're curious about why people buy and how businesses grow
Nice to Have
You've built with Clay, Salesforce or HubSpot, enrichment providers, and sales engagement tools
You've built agents that research, take actions across business systems, and improve through human feedback
You've worked directly with sales or customers and turned what you learned into a better system
