As more of OLI's products and customer experiences move to the cloud, the reliability and scalability of the infrastructure behind them become increasingly important. We are looking for a Platform Engineer to help build, operate, automate, and support the cloud foundation for OLI's next generation of products.
Your Role:
As a Platform Engineer, you will be a hands-on member of the team responsible for OLI's cloud infrastructure. You will help build and support our Azure environment for OLI's next-generation platform.
This role is ideal for a mid-level engineer looking to grow. You'll work within established platform architecture and engineering standards to implement infrastructure as code, support CI/CD pipelines, monitor production systems, troubleshoot deployment and performance issues, and strengthen automation across our cloud environments. As you build experience, your ownership will grow with it, from taking on larger pieces of the platform and leading incident response to helping shape the standards you started out following.
You will collaborate closely with senior platform, software, and process systems engineers. This is a strong opportunity for an engineer who wants to deepen their cloud, DevOps, and reliability expertise while contributing directly to a customer-facing SaaS platform. We see platform work as software engineering: much of what you build will be code that other engineers depend on.

By improving deployment reliability, infrastructure consistency, monitoring, and support, you will directly contribute to customer experience, engineering velocity, and OLI's ability to scale its cloud platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build, configure, maintain, and support cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code in Terraform, following established OLI patterns.
- Build and maintain internal tooling, reusable infrastructure modules, and Helm charts that help the wider engineering team ship consistently.
- Build, support, and improve CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to enable consistent, secure, and reliable software releases.
- Deploy and support containerized workloads using Docker, Kubernetes (AKS), and related tooling.
- Monitor infrastructure and application health, investigate alerts, and troubleshoot deployment, availability, capacity, and performance issues.
- Help improve observability through logging, monitoring, tracing, dashboards, and alerting using tools such as Azure Application Insights and Grafana.
- Support incident response and contribute to runbooks, post-incident improvements, and automation that reduces repeat issues.
- Apply established security and compliance controls across cloud environments, including access management, secrets handling, and SOC 2 practices.
- Partner with software engineers and process systems engineers to support cloud deployments and resolve infrastructure-related development issues.
- Document infrastructure configurations, deployment procedures, troubleshooting steps, and operational standards.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools appropriately to accelerate coding, troubleshooting, documentation, and delivery while maintaining security and code quality.
- Participate in appropriate out-of-hours support (on-call) for critical platform issues.
We are looking for a practical, curious engineer who enjoys building reliable systems and learning how the pieces of a cloud platform fit together. You should be comfortable working hands-on, asking questions, following established engineering patterns, and taking ownership of assigned infrastructure and operational problems through resolution.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), cloud engineering, or a related infrastructure-focused role.
- Hands-on experience building, deploying, maintaining, or supporting production cloud infrastructure.
- Practical experience with Azure compute, networking, identity, and CI/CD (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code principles and tooling.
- Working knowledge of Docker and containerized application environments, and hands-on experience deploying, operating, and debugging Kubernetes workloads, not just authoring manifests.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, troubleshooting, and core cloud security concepts in production environments.
- Ability to write maintainable code beyond one-off scripts, such as infrastructure modules, internal tools, or automation that other engineers rely on, using a language such as C#, Python, or TypeScript.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with engineers across disciplines.
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with relevant Azure services such as AKS, API Management, Key Vault, and Application Insights.
- Experience with Azure DevOps pipelines and building reusable Terraform modules for Infrastructure as Code.
- Hands-on experience with Helm charts.
- Exposure to SOC 2 Type II controls or similar security and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with authentication and identity tools such as Auth0 or Entra ID.
- Experience supporting public APIs, SaaS applications, or other customer-facing cloud services.
- Familiarity with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or ChatGPT.
