Overview of the Role

ILAC is expanding its use of AI, automation, and Microsoft technologies to improve business processes and reduce manual effort across the organization.

We are seeking a Power Platform & AI Developer to help design, build, and implement AI-powered and automated solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Microsoft 365, and related technologies.

This is a hands-on development role focused on converting business requirements and manual workflows into practical automation solutions. Working alongside ILAC's existing development team, you will help deliver automation initiatives, share knowledge and best practices, and accelerate the team's adoption of Microsoft Copilot Studio and AI-enabled business solutions.

The ideal candidate has experience building automation solutions, understands how technology can improve business processes, and enjoys working directly with stakeholders to solve real operational challenges.

Responsibilities and Duties

AI & Automation Development

  • Design, build, test, and deploy automation solutions using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse, and Microsoft 365 technologies.
  • Develop AI-powered agents and workflow solutions that streamline administrative and operational processes.
  • Configure integrations between Microsoft platforms and internal or third-party systems using APIs, connectors, and cloud services.
  • Extend low-code solutions through scripting or custom development when required.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and continuously improve deployed solutions.

Business Process Improvement

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand existing processes and identify opportunities for automation.
  • Analyze manual workflows and recommend practical improvements that reduce effort, improve accuracy, and enhance the user experience.
  • Translate business requirements into effective automation and AI solutions.
  • Support the delivery of process improvement initiatives across multiple departments.

Team Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing

  • Work closely with existing developers to build AI and automation capabilities within the team.
  • Share practical development patterns, lessons learned, and best practices related to Copilot Studio and Power Platform.
  • Contribute to the creation of reusable components, templates, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure solutions are maintainable, supportable, and aligned with business objectives.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in software development, application development, automation, Power Platform, or related technology roles.
  • Experience building solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Dataverse.
  • Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, conversational AI platforms, chatbot technologies, or intelligent automation solutions.
  • Experience integrating systems using APIs, connectors, and cloud services.
  • Working knowledge of one or more programming or scripting languages such as C#, Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to independently manage and deliver multiple initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Practical experience implementing Microsoft Copilot Studio solutions in a production environment.
  • Experience with Azure AI Services, Azure OpenAI, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, or related Azure technologies.
  • Experience automating business processes using Microsoft 365 technologies.
  • Familiarity with Power Platform governance and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
  • Microsoft certifications related to Power Platform, Azure, AI, or Microsoft 365.
  • Experience working in education, professional services, or similar service-oriented organizations.
