Position Description:

 

Interprets business requirements and crystallizes stories and acceptance criteria for implementation. Identifies risks and develops contingency plans in anticipation of test automation issues. Developing Web applications using REST, Java, JavaScript, Web Services, SOAP, GraphQL, Git, Jenkins, and TFS. Conducts test automations using Cucumber, Git, and Jenkins. Builds multi-module mobile applications using Cordova and Ionic. Builds Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) for custumer experience needs and to optimize quality or deployment practices on digital platforms. Develops and deploys applications in Cloud environments -- Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure. Implements Angular frameworks across the enterprise. Uses business knowledge to translate the vision for divisional initiatives into business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications and conducting studies of alternatives. Analyzes and recommends changes in project development policies, procedures, standards, and strategies to development experts and management.

Education and Experience:

 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering Management, Information Technology, Information Technology Management, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) building and maintaining backend services using Java and internal service frameworks.

 

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Engineering Management, Information Technology, Information Technology Management, Information Systems, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Principal Software Engineer/Developer (or closely related occupation) building and maintaining backend services using Java and internal service frameworks.

 

 

Skills and Knowledge:

 

Candidate must also possess:

 

·         Demonstrated Expertise building test automation frameworks using Java and J2EE; writing automated test scripts using Cucumber, Serenity, Selenium automation frameworks, JEST, Cloud computing services (Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Apache Kafka) based micro-services; integrating automated test scripts using XRAY and Jenkins; and performing Web service testing using SOAP and REST API.  

·         Demonstrated Expertise developing test automation projects for application delivery of available and cost-efficient solutions, and bug free systems used to streamline business solutions, using Cucumber, Gherkin, scripting, or Test-Driven Development (TDD) tools according to Agile SCRUM methodology. 

·         Demonstrated Expertise performing DevSecOps, automated testing, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), using Concourse, Jenkins, and secure code practices. 

·         Demonstrated Expertise deploying test automation frameworks (JUnit, Cucumber/Fitness, Cypress, or Karate) to support testing (unit, component, integration, and system) executed through CI/CD pipelines.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
