The Senior Front-End Developer is an experienced engineer who owns development of the Admin Console — a React/TypeScript web application that gives Macabacus customers and internal admins self-service control over account settings, digital asset and brand management, user licensing and authentication, and billing. This app plays an increasingly important role in our business as we migrate some functionality from our core B2B product to the cloud and build new, web-based, cross-platform experiences. You will work closely with design, backend engineers, and product to deliver pixel-perfect, intuitive interfaces, while staying comfortable with the bigger picture — how the app is built, deployed, and connected to the systems behind it.
- Delivering high-quality, pixel-perfect, intuitive, and elegant user interfaces
- Shippingfeatures and projects on time to drive department goals
- Taking ownership of problems end-to-end, including thorough testing — never considering something “done” until it has been proven to work
- Using AI coding tools, including ClaudeCodetowork efficiently without sacrificing quality
- Solving problems the simplest way and resisting over-engineering
- Tackling unfamiliar work and completing it through your own research
- Communicating clearly and staying responsive during business hours as part of a distributed team
- Design, build, and maintain features across the Admin Console, a React 18 + TypeScript single-page app used for account settings, user/license management, billing, SSO configuration, and brand/content asset management
- Work across the existing stack — Redux Toolkit and React Context, React Router, Vite, and a mix of Bootstrap, MUI, and Ant Design for UI — and help consolidate patterns where the codebase has accumulated multiple ways of doing the same thing
- Build and maintain data-heavy CRUD interfaces (AG Grid tables), nested tree and drag-and-drop content management, and multi-step forms such as checkout and billing
- Integrate with backend REST APIs spanning billing (Recurly, Stripe/Schematic), SSO (Okta and Microsoft Entra ID), content library management, and AI-assisted writing features — understanding how these systems fit together at a high level, even though the role is frontend-focused
- Write and maintain Cypress end-to-end tests for new and existing pages, and help close testing gaps as they’re identified
- Understand and participate in how the app ships: Vite build, Docker, Azure Container Apps via Azure Container Registry, and the GitHub Actions pipelines that deploy it
- Use AI coding tools, including Claude Code, as a core part of the development workflow to maximize efficiency
- Take on work at every altitude, from small fixes and legacy cleanup to net-new features, with no task considered beneath the role
- Collaborate with design, backend engineers, and product to ship complete, well-tested solutions
- 8+ years of professional front-end engineering experience
- Strong, current React and TypeScriptexpertise, plus comfort with modern build tooling
- Enough full-stack literacy to see how the frontend, APIs, and deploy pipeline fit together — without owning the backend
- Hands-on experience writing andmaintainingautomated tests (Cypress or similar)
- Comfortable with AI coding tools and willing to use Claude Code in the team's workflow
- Clear written and verbal communication, and a good listener
- Able to work independently and take feedback well
- Comfortable with ambiguity and shifting priorities
Nice to have
- Experience at a small company or startup, where requirements shift quickly and priorities are less rigidly defined
- Background with SSO (Okta/Entra ID), payment/billing integrations, or data-grid-heavy admin tooling
