About the Role
Join a product engineering team building AI software for the design of physical systems. You will help develop an agent-driven product for engineering and simulation workflows, taking ownership of features from early ideas through production and helping the team ship more effectively.
What You'll Do
Work with a frontend engineer to improve the product interface and remove bottlenecks to production releases.
Take on increasingly backend-focused full stack work, including features, infrastructure, and systems.
Own work end to end, from architecture and implementation through deployment and reliability.
Establish practical best practices for development with AI coding agents.
Collaborate with forward-deployed engineers and AI researchers to prototype and refine product ideas for industrial users.
What We're Looking For
Three to ten years of experience as a software or full stack engineer, including work at a startup or early-stage company.
Experience taking products or major features from concept to production, with strong ownership and adaptability as priorities change.
Strong backend skills, solid mid-level frontend capabilities, and experience with .NET, React, and TypeScript.
Comfort using AI coding agents extensively, and the ability to review and debug their output.
Experience owning architecture, deployment, and reliability across the development lifecycle.
Interest in physical systems, engineering design, CAD, or simulation. Experience beyond computer vision, robotics, or self-driving is relevant.
Based in the United States or Canada and authorized to work there without visa sponsorship.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual base salary: $200,000 to $275,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Location
Remote, with the primary location in Canada. The role requires spending one week onsite in San Mateo, California, every six weeks.
