Our New Senior Software Developer:

As a Senior Software Developer, you will work with other developers to create and maintain software, tools, and infrastructure for web applications, services, and IoT devices.

The ideal candidate is a skilled problem solver and quick learner who takes a proactive approach to improving quality, demonstrates meticulous attention to detail, and treats software development like a craft. Software development is more than a job; it is a genuine passion and an integral part of their identity.

What you will do in the role:

  1. Work with other developers to build and maintain code in web applications, services, and IoT devices.
  2. Write well-designed, reusable, testable, and efficient code
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve issues
  4. Participate in peer code reviews
  5. Other duties as assigned
  6. Able to lift up to 15lbs; may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%.
  7. Participate actively in Health & Safety programs, 5S activities, and continuous improvement initiatives

Measures of Success:

  1. Software Delivery: ≥90% of assigned features, releases, and project milestones delivered on schedule.
  2. Code Quality: ≥95% peer-review approval rate with minimal rework and adherence to established coding and testing standards.
  3. System Reliability: High availability of web applications, backend services, and IoT systems, with minimal production-impacting incidents.
  4. Defect Management: Low defect escape rate, with minimal critical issues identified after release.
  5. Issue Resolution: Root Cause Analysis completed for major software and infrastructure issues, resulting in measurable reduction of recurring incidents.
  6. Technical Leadership: Active contribution to code reviews, architectural decisions, mentoring, and knowledge sharing across the development team.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Development tools, testing practices, automation, security, and system performance continuously improved to enhance software quality and team productivity.

This position is located at 6635 Ordan Drive in Mississauga, ON. Hours are typically 8:00am to 4:30pm. 

Pay: $135,000 - $160,000
