LightFeather is seeking a ServiceNow Platform Engineer to own a new ServiceNow environment for a federal program. This position offers the opportunity to build an environment from the ground up (provisioning, configuration, security hardening, integration enablement, and readiness validation) within a secure federal enclave, and to serve as the platform owner supporting module implementation (including CMDB), platform upgrades, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is a hands-on platform expert who is comfortable taking an environment from zero to production and staying with it as it grows.
Major responsibilities include standing up, configuring, securing, and maintaining the ServiceNow platform, establishing the design and administration standards that keep the environment stable, and collaborating with security, infrastructure, and program stakeholders to deliver a compliant, production-ready platform.
- Location: Hybrid in Washington, D.C. 20036
- Job Type: Full-time
- Salary: $180,000–$200,000 annually, based on experience level.
- Clearance Requirement: U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to federal contract requirements. Top Secret clearance is required. Candidates holding an active Secret clearance are encouraged to apply, and LightFeather sponsors an upgrade to Top Secret for the right candidate.

- Establish and maintain platform administration baselines, including system properties, plugin activation, instance security settings, and upgrade and patch management processes
- Develop and maintain integrations with enterprise systems using REST/SOAP web services and IntegrationHub, as permitted within the environment
- Support ongoing implementation and optimization of platform modules, including ITSM and CMDB, in collaboration with the broader team
- Maintain update sets, environment documentation, build procedures, and technical design records
