The role reports to our Store Support Office in Phoenix, AZ, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring in-office presence Tuesday through Thursday.
Overview of Responsibilities
- Own the design, delivery, operation, and continuous improvement of one or more frontend services or feature areas within the assigned engineering domain.
- Translate ambiguous requirements into clear technical designs through detailed analysis and investigation.
- Build accessible, high-performing interfaces and contribute to the shared design system.
- Explain technical designs and recommended changes to engineering, Product, and Design partners and ensure shared understanding.
- Provide technical guidance and training to associate and intermediate engineers; may delegate work and review work products.
- Operate assigned services independently and seek leadership guidance for decisions with broader architectural, financial, security, or organizational implications.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of UI or frontend engineering experience.
- Production experience with React or equivalent and TypeScript.
- Experience with Next.js or equivalent, design systems, web performance, accessibility, and automated testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with adjacent technical disciplines relevant to the assigned engineering area.
- Track record of providing training or technical guidance to other employees.
