The Software Engineering Intern will report to the Senior Director of Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Build and ship features for internal platforms that support collaboration, productivity, and employee support.
- Write, test, and review code with guidance from your mentor and your team.
- Prototype AI and agent-based workflows that remove manual steps for EA teams.
- Integrate with enterprise systems and APIs such as Google Workspace, Slack, and ServiceNow.
- Debug issues and improve the reliability of the services you work on.
- Take part in sprint planning, stand-ups, design reviews, and demos.
- Present your project and its results to the Employee Experience Engineering team at the end of the internship.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, and returning to your program after the internship.
- Coursework or project experience in at least one modern programming language, such as Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, or C++.
- Familiarity with Git and with basic software testing.
- Exposure to web applications, APIs, or cloud services through coursework, projects, or a previous internship.
Preferred Skills
- Interest or hands-on experience with generative AI, large language models, or agent frameworks.
- Something you have built end to end, such as a class project, a hackathon entry, an open source contribution, or a personal app.
- You explain your thinking clearly in writing and in conversation.
- You ask questions early and you act on feedback.
- You collaborate well with teammates across time zones.
- You stay curious about how people use software and how to make it simpler.
At this time, we are considering Undergraduate students who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2027. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the 12-week internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
