Visa is rapidly expanding our Value Added Services (VAS) product portfolio globally, and the VAS Architecture and Platform organization sits at the intersection of numerous technologies, platforms, and solutions that enable this growth.

The Opportunity: 

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Sr. Manager of Engineering with a proven track record of delivering modern, large-scale, and complex services and products powered by transformative technologies. The ideal candidate excels at leading through influence, inspiring high-performing and diverse technical teams at all levels of the organization.

In this role, you will provide hands-on technical leadership for multiple development teams, focusing on defining, executing, and delivering both functional and non-functional features on a scale. You will cultivate a culture of cross-functional collaboration and engineering excellence, champion new ideas and introducing industry best practices to benefit both the team and the broader organization. This position requires balancing business needs and innovative solutions with operational excellence, all while adhering to regulatory, security, and privacy standards. 

We are looking for a proven technology innovation leader with exceptional communication and organizational skills to drive both immediate modernization and the definition of long-term strategic solutions.

Experience with Generative AI and Machine Learning is essential.

Essential Functions:

•    The creation of conceptual approach, technical analysis, design, development, unit testing, deploy and support activities. 
•    Collaboration with business partners on requirements elaboration, workflow design, configuration, and business re-engineering. 
•    Leading agile development teams in designing, developing, testing, supporting technical solutions across a full stack of development tools and technologies. 
•    Evaluate options and provide recommendation on scope and scale of effort required to implement final requirements. 
•    Able to work on multiple projects and initiatives with different/competing timelines and demands. 
•    Work with product partners to review and finalize technical specifications, code review, version management, and implementation related activities. 
•    Work with limited direction, usually within a complex environment, to drive delivery of solutions and meet service levels. 
•    Collaborate across global businesses and technology organizations, providing sound business analysis, process, and change leadership. 
•    Hire and develop a diverse team of talented engineers. 
•    Coach/mentor and develop the team 
•    Participation in support activities such as troubleshooting, defect research, code promotion, and configuration. .

Information for US Applicants

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $162,500.00 to $ 260,400.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
