As part of the M&S Software Engineering team, you’ll be joining a well-loved historic brand, working on solutions that serve millions of loyal customers and thousands of colleagues. With ethical values that run right through the company’s core and technology leaders that truly understand software engineering, it’s an exciting time as we’re redefining ourselves into a digital-first, engineering-led organisation, with the quality of our engineering team being a key differentiator.

This role sits within our Warehouse Platform team, supporting the Fashion, Home & Beauty (FH&B) Supply Chain & Logistics sub-domain, a core part of M&S’s growth plans. You will help shape and improve the core warehouse technology that keeps site operations running, building robust, scalable solutions across Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related platforms. Working within a modern engineering environment, you’ll drive technical direction, improve reliability, reduce operational support demand over time, and deliver solutions with strong observability, meaningful metrics and best-in-class engineering practices.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced engineer who can combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, helping to shape the future of warehouse technology while supporting the growth and development of the wider engineering community.

Due to high interest, this role may close earlier than advertised. We recommend applying as soon as possible.
