Who will you work for?
We are looking for a performance-driven Node.js backend developer who can help us raise Tradeweb to the next level of functionality, scalability, and user-driven experience. Tradeweb is actively developing new event-driven microservices architectures to form a foundational platform for delivering new trading applications. You will work with some of the best and brightest minds in technology and finance to design, implement, and optimize our trading platform to deliver new products and drive revenue.
What do you need to succeed?
- Strong desire to master new technologies and learn the business of electronic fixed income trading.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and common design patterns
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Interest in delivering software end-to-end, from liaising with product managers and designers, to coordinating across international development teams on engineering and architecture, to working with our QA and dev ops teams.
- Ability to deliver a quality, innovative deliverables to the traders and investors who depend on our platform every day.
What would be great to have?
- Previous internship, academic project, hackathon, or personal software-development experience
- Interest in backend systems, distributed systems, financial technology, or real-time applications
- Understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency, and event-driven application patterns

The current pay range for this role if performed in the city of New York is currently $35-$75 hourly based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, geographic location, and internal guidelines.
