About the role
You'll join a focused engineering team inside an established company — a small enough group that you'll see your work end to end, backed by the resources and reach of a much larger organization. Integrations are the center of the role: the connections between our platform and the third-party systems our business depends on. Alongside that, you'll take on backend feature work and fixes across the product.
This is a good fit if you're past the stage of needing your work broken down for you and ready to own meaningful pieces yourself. Integration work also means more outside contact than a typical dev role. You'll read partner documentation, get on calls with engineers at other companies, and reconcile what their spec says with how their API actually behaves. The work is planned with the team and there's always someone to talk it through with, but the partner conversations and the day-to-day troubleshooting will be yours to carry.
AI coding agents are central to how we work, and we want someone who's already comfortable with them. The approach we value looks like this: break a problem into a clear spec, hand it to an agent, then review and refine what it produces. Done well, it's a real multiplier on what one engineer can deliver — and we'll give you the room and the tooling to work that way.
What you'll do
- Build, test, and maintain integrations with third-party APIs and services, and help support them once they're in production.
- Troubleshoot integration failures across code, logs, and telemetry, and work out whether the problem is ours or theirs.
- Work directly with engineers at partner companies to pin down contracts and push issues to resolution.
- Contribute across the product outside of integration work — backend features and fixes, plus the front-end changes that go with them.
- Leave behind enough documentation and monitoring that the next person isn't starting from scratch.
What we're looking for
- Comfort taking a piece of work and running with it — asking questions when you need to, but not needing to be walked through the details.
- Comfort with AI coding agents (Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, etc.): you can break a problem into a spec an agent can execute, direct it through the work, and review what comes back with a critical eye.
- Familiarity with Azure — deploying services and using cloud logging to diagnose problems.
- Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially in systems you don't fully control.
- Clear communication with technical people at other companies, where you can't rely on shared context.
- Around 3–5 years building production software, including hands-on work integrating with third-party or external systems.
- Some front-end experience — enough to carry a change through the UI as well as the API. We work in React and Angular; comparable component-framework experience translates fine.
- Strongly preferred: C# and .NET Core — it's our primary stack.
Nice to have: Azure Functions, Service Bus, and Application Insights; SQL Server; API auth and retry patterns (OAuth 2.0, API keys, idempotency); GitLab CI; experience in title, real estate, mortgage, or another data-provider-heavy domain.
You won't check every box, and that's expected. If you're strong on the fundamentals and genuinely good with AI tooling, we're glad to help you fill the gaps.
Our stack
C#/.NET Core services and Azure Functions on Azure, SQL Server, React and Angular on the front end, GitLab for source control and CI/CD, and Application Insights for telemetry and Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, Anthropic and OpenAI for AI.
