Lexicon Services are hiring a Systems Engineer

Job Summary:

The Systems Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the firm’s IT infrastructure.  This position, no matter the level, will ensure system reliability, performance, and security while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the firm’s technology needs and drive continuous improvement.

This is a hybrid role and will require time in the office.  Only candidates local to the St. Louis Metropolitan area will be accepted.  No C2C.

Responsibilities:

• Systems Engineer I:
  • Ensuring IT systems and solutions align with organizational goals and follow industry best practices for scalability and security.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to improve system efficiency and reliability.
  • Document systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Microsoft Entra ID. 
  • Office 365 Administration. 
  • SentinelOne EDR. 
  • Arctic Wolf MDR. 
  • LAN/WAN monitoring and network utilization. 
• Systems Engineer II:
  • Lead the design and deployment of complex IT systems and solutions.
  • Document systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Monthly Testing and Deploying Windows updates via Desktop Central or Intune. 
  • Microsoft Entra ID. 
  • Office 365 Administration. 
  • SentinelOne EDR. 
  • Arctic Wolf MDR. 
  • VMware administration patching virtual servers & creating automations. 
  • Apply server upgrades and patches during non-production hours. 
  • Group Policy & Active Directory Management. 
  • LAN/WAN monitoring and network utilization. 
• Systems Engineer III:
  • Lead the design and deployment of complex IT systems and solutions.
  • Monthly Testing and Deploying Windows updates via Desktop Central or Intune.
  • Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Server Patching & Hardening.
  • Document systems, processes, and procedures.
  • DRaaS Management and annual testing.
  • Office 365 Administration.
  • Sentinel One EDR.
  • Arctic Wolf MDR.
  • VMware administration patching virtual servers & creating automations.
  • Apply server upgrades and patches during non-production hours.
  • Group Policy & Active Directory Management.
  • LAN/WAN monitoring and network utilization.

Minimum Requirements:

• Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
  • Certifications AZ-900, AZ-104, CCNA, or MCSE preferred.
• Minimum Years of Experience:
  • 3-10 years in systems engineering or a related role, with a strong background in network and server management.
• Other Requirements (Knowledge, Skill, Ability, and Licensure(s)):
  • Knowledge and understanding with Windows Server 2012-2022 including heavy Active Directory & Group Policy use. The systems include Microsoft Entra ID, VMware Infrastructure Administration version 7.0, Veeam Backup and Replication, and Azure Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Ability to solve problems and troubleshoot.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).4
  • Availability for occasional travel for office moves.  (Estimated at once or twice per year for a full week.)

• Physical Demands:
  • Potential prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Some lifting, up to 30lbs.
