osition: Senior Software Engineer – International Supply Chain
Job Location: 811 Excellence Dr, Bentonville, AR 72716
Duties: Collaborates with stakeholders to identify business challenges/requirements and recommends appropriate technological approaches to address them effectively. Translates conceptual designs into low level design and detailed implementation plans, including prototypes, workflows, and logic flows. Breaks down design into actionable tasks to ensure comprehensive coverage during the development lifecycle. Analyzes potential risks early in the planning stages and communicates action plans to mitigate risks. Participates in shaping solution architecture by balancing performance, scalability, and maintainability within system components. Develops robust, scalable, and efficient modules while adhering to best practices in software engineering. Explores emerging tools and frameworks to enhance coding efficiency and automation processes. Designs and executes validation procedures to ensure feature completeness and reliability under various conditions. Investigates and resolves technical issues through analysis of system behavior and historical problem patterns. Maintains operational efficiency of applications by performing routine upgrades, log evaluations, and system health checks. Responds to support queries and operational alerts from business teams; performs deep-dive investigations to identify and document root causes. Offers technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, assisting them in overcoming development roadblocks and promoting best practices.
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field; OR Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience in software engineering or related experience.
Skills Required: Must have experience with: working with Software Development Life Cycle; designing and implementing Rest API web services using Spring Boot and Spring Framework; coding in Object Oriented Programming using Java; designing and implementing application architecture using microservices and client server architecture; performing unit testing by creating test cases using JUnit, Mockito, and Power Mockito; implementing Java Collection Framework for API development; implementing source code tracking and version control using GIT; creating logging mechanism for application using Apache Log4J API; creating TypeScript reusable components to consume Rest APIs; using CRUD operations of MySQL database to manipulate data; utilizing Spark-Cassandra connector to load data to and from Cassandra database; implementing continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) for applications using build and deployment pipeline; providing technical support for production issues and defects and resolving defects using root cause analysis; building and managing Spark and Hudi pipelines on GCP Dataproc, ensuring ACID-compliant data updates, optimized cluster usage, and efficient data storage; creating and maintaining Airflow DAGs (Python-based) for reliable pipeline orchestration, automation, dependency handling, and monitoring; designing scalable data storage models using Cassandra and leverages Memcached (Meghacache) for low-latency caching and retrieval of frequently accessed data; breaking down technical designs into actionable development tasks spanning Spark, Airflow, Kafka, GCP, microservices and storage components; setting up and managing monitoring, logging, and alerting for Spark jobs, Kafka pipelines, Airflow DAGs, and Dataproc clusters to ensure high availability and issue detection.
Rate of pay: $90,000.00 - 180,000.00/year
